Primus Telecom today announced the launch of WirelessHome, a new residential wireless broadband product that allows users to move easily around their home and remain online.
WirelessHome comprises a standard Primus Broadband Plan together with a wireless modem that enables a high-speed connection to a personal computer or laptop, providing a wireless local area network (LAN) in and around the home.
This will make life easier for people who want to move around the home and stay connected,” said Bryan Yianakis, General Manager, Consumer Division.
“There is no waiting to use the Internet because you can have multiple users throughout the home. You can be at the desktop or on the couch, relaxing while shopping online or downloading your favourite music”.
WirelessHome does away with tangled wires and cables and means it’s simple to use the Internet anywhere around the home.
WirelessHome is available with any Primus Broadband Plan. The only additional cost is for the modem and, where necessary, a USB adaptor.
The modem is available at half price for $119 (plus postage and handling) on a 12 or 24-month contract when bundled with telephony. The modem can also be purchased separately for the full price of $239 (plus postage and handling).
Computers with built-in wireless capability, including Intel® Centrino®, will not need a USB adaptor.
Connection to WirelessHome is made simple with the iConnect CD, which automatically configures the wireless hardware, enabling customers to be up and running without fuss.
