Issue Date: 24 April 2009iPrimus offers ADSL2+ at over 1500 exchanges Australia wide
iPrimus announced today that it has extended its ADSL2+ broadband reach to over 1500 exchanges across Australia.
iPrimus General Manager, Marketing & Products, Andrew Sims said: “This is great news for customers, to be able to extend our ADSL2+ coverage in one single hit and offer high speed broadband into exchanges we previously couldn’t.”
“Our plans start from $69.95 for 6GB of data, which represent some of the best value in the market versus our competitors in the extended zone areas.”
All plans feature peak and off-peak data allowances and include the popular Big Kahuna plan which features a massive 200GB of data allowance. Plans also have access to Unmetered Content announced earlier in the year, including the ABC iView service, the iPrimus Gaming Network (iPGN) and our VoIP service, Lingo.
“A lot of people have missed out on upgrading to ADSL2+ over the last year due to coverage limitations,” Sims said. “This will now give a lot more customers the ability to upgrade from slower speed broadband connections and enjoy some of the rich media available on the internet, like ABC iView.”
iPrimus CEO, Ravi Bhatia said: “These additional exchanges in the extended zone give iPrimus one of the largest ADSL2+ coverage footprints in Australia, which complement our own DSLAM rollout of 286 exchanges and is the pre-cursor to a graceful National Broadband Network migration. Combined with our Australian call centre and 24/7 support, customers can expect the very best service and value in Australia.”
Free upgrades from ADSL to ADSL2+ are being offered to existing iPrimus customers who have previously not been eligible due to their exchange previously not being “ADSL2+ ready”.
